Both versions of Tavros look up and ask, in unison, "I'm not?"

Tavros' shadow turns to face him. He looks like he wants to say something, to snap at himself, to tell himself she doesn't mean that. But despite having drifted apart, Tavros only ever remembered Aradia being honest and straightforward. That's why, as much as Tavros' shadow wants to fight back, he knows he can't; and finally, after having spent much of the night berating him and wishing him dead, Tavros' shadow starts to doubt himself.

The hole in the middle of the room stops spreading.

"B-But, uhh, he's..." Tavros fidgets a little, afraid to say anything that might set his shadow off again. "He's... kind of, uhh... right."

Instead of reacting angrily, his shadow only seems more taken aback.

"I, uhh... I am weak," Tavros continues. "And, uhh, sometimes, I wish I was stronger... b-but not if I have to, uhh, hurt people..."

"I'm not hurting people!" his shadow whines, turning back to Aradia. "I'm not. I just don't want him here!"
