It's rude and cruel to talk disrespectfully about a person's parent. As I understand it, humans have a much stronger emotional attachment to their parents than trolls do. A parent dying is a traumatic experience for the children. They don't like to think about it, they don't have positive feelings on the topic, and it brings all the negative emotions to the surface again, which they have most likely tried very hard to forget or suppress.
