I know you probably don't trust me - I wouldn't either, after what I did. That time... aside from granting me those awful powers, the island seemed to think I was better off as a sort of amoral villain. It somehow got into my head and erased any trace of right and wrong, of morality. I look back to what I did now, and it horrifies me.

That's not an excuse, and I'm not looking for forgiveness - I don't think anything could be an excuse for what I did. But I just thought you should know. I really am sorry.
