If there are any of you who are unfamiliar with the way schools work here, or who haven't been to school in a very long time, meet me in the lunchroom after school any day this week. I'll teach you what you need to know. Routines, study habits, how to fit in. There are tutors if there are subjects you don't understand.

I'll be tutoring math as well.

If you don't want to come to the meeting, I'll answer any questions privately.

Not that I can't figure things out and school seems pretty straightforward but yeah. So. Not exactly, but a lot of them were non-fiction. I learned a lot from them.

I did the same. I was bad at school at first anyway.

No-one in my class gets better grades. Some are equal.

I guess that's a good thing. I'll take your advice then...and maybe your help.

The important thing is to know what's expected of you by the teachers and students. Meeting their expectations produces a better result.

But how high are their expectations?

It isn't about that. You're expected to behave in certain ways. You should work to fit in, as well as mastering your classwork.

And if we don't like some of their rules?

Then you know which ones you can afford to break, and how to break them without being noticed.

No. But they can't stop it.
