It's been a week of lessons and while I do believe I have given it a fair chance, at this point I can categorically state that the quality of education offered here is absolutely appalling. Honestly, what sort of second-rate institution doesn't even offer basic magic lessons? Though of course I have been privately tutored and am a very powerful enchanter — so I would certainly be far beyond whatever anyone on this island could possibly teach — how on earth are you others supposed to learn even a single elementary spell in this place?

And no cricket team? I think next week I shall be circulating a petition in protest. Does anyone know who the Sports master is? I'll deliver it to him once I get the signatures. What is the point of going to school at all if there's no cricket?

But we would only need eleven people. I'll play, of course, and so will my roommate, so that's just nine more. At the very least we could have practices, if not matches.

You ought to be some sort of Historian of the Related Worlds. I'm sure you could give Flavian a run for his money at this point.
