Koizumi runs from the blue giants, tears flowing freely down his face as he wonders just where the future had gone wrong. The feelings of fear and guilt and sorrow and helplessness are nearly overwhelming, as he dodges around monsters and shadows to get away. The wounds on his chest and his side are screaming from exertion, and he can feel the poison slipping into him, setting his veins on fire - but he can't stop or they'd all be on him in seconds.

The future is chaotic, fire and screams filling the air. Koizumi draws in a sharp breath as he sees a small child being ripped apart by a pack of feral wolves, almost jumping into the fray - but he chokes back a sob and turns away, furious with himself even as he knows there was nothing he could do. It was already too late.
