[A long pause as he waits, and he realizes that if they could use the network, they would have by now, but it's worth a shot.]

Crap. I kinda figured that was the case, but thought I'd try anyway.

[Her little voice is concerned, which makes her brogue a little stronger than usual.]

You know the Captain. He won't answer his phone.

I do. And this is really starting to get worrisome. Either their phones have been taken, or they're all out of network range.

Even if he doesn't reply right away, he usually does within the day... He might be with Ianto. I haven't checked with him yet.

... Haven't you seen what's on the television yet?

Television? I don't have one of those.

... Long story short, Captain Jack and a bunch of others seem to have been kidnapped. And put on a reality TV show for us to watch. We don't know who did it or where they are. I don't recognize a lot of the people myself- just Jack, Nathan, Feferi, and that cute little mechanic girl that came to fix my air conditioning last week.

[There is a short, sharp-edged silence.]

I don't know those other people, but if something could capture Captain, it must be strong and fast. If it came from the forest, I will find it.
