It's good to know that even with as sketchy as things can seem on the island, they don't seem to interfere with that kind of thing. I'm sure not everyone agrees with me, but faith and ancestry are important.

I have very little of either remaining to me.

But that doesn't mean I can't start afresh. And there are some traditions worth bringing with me.

Fair enough. As with anything else, your mileage may vary -- but they're important to me, and I like to see that anyone else who wants to isn't being kept from carrying over any of those aforementioned traditions.

I guess, if nothing else, this place does offer a fresh start.
