"To be perfectly honest, Jack, I hated it." And for once, Ianto really was being honest. Not knowing things drove the Welshman crazy, and there had been a lot of that to go around the past week. He still couldn't quite look Gwen in the eyes though he managed to act perfectly unaffected. Little was more embarrassing than sleeping with your married coworker, but then, Gwen knew all about that, didn't she?

Ianto slipped his arm into Jack's as they walked, and that in itself was a gesture sure to prove how far out of his reserved casing he was coming for this date. He was on a genuine date with Jack, and it was quite honestly all he could have wanted at the moment. A chance to believe, for a while at least, that he and Jack had a normal relationship. That there was not going to be a time when Jack kept going and Ianto did not.

"Where are we off to, then?"

As if Ianto didn't already know. He really just wanted to change the subject.
