Castle wished he could tell what Kate was thinking. Right now, he was still hurting a little, but he knew things would be okay again soon. Part of him knew when getting into this that spats like this were likely, just due to Kate being the way she was and denying what she wanted, what made her happy. But the moments he got her to smile and laugh... he still felt, deep in his heart, that it was all worth it.
