Well. Thank God that's over.

I'd wanted to make a post on the network before, but, well, you all saw what had happened.

I am currently hiring for office positions at Baker Street Surgery. I'm afraid just one man can't run clerk and physician, and it's all gotten... a little more than I can handle right now. So if you think you might be up to the task, I'd be happy to see your resume. Just drop it off at the surgery any time between 10 AM and 5 PM.

For those interested, I am searching for someone who is well-organised, clean, has good handwriting/or can type faster than I can. I'm currently sitting at about 40 wpm, so it shouldn't be hard to beat.

Oh! Well, if you need some part-time help, Mr. Watson, I'd be pleased to offer my services. Things are calming down around the station a little, with the new officers about, and one of them will be taking over the later shift of dispatch. I'll still need to be there for the day shift, of course, but I could always stop by and help you do the paperwork and things after that, if you'd like.

I'll prepare a resume and drop it off over the lunch hour tomorrow. That way it'll be official.

Ah ha, really, Mr. Watson, you're far too kind. You should certainly see if anyone else is interested too - I mean, otherwise you won't know if there's someone better for the position, and I'd hate to see you stuck with inferior staff. Not that I think you'd hire someone unqualfied--! Ah...

Oh, no, sir, don't worry about me! I quite enjoy reading and filing paperwork and things. I find it soothing. Silly, isn't it? But I suppose that makes this an ideal sort of situation for me. If this is only a few evenings a week, it certainly shouldn't be any problem - I promise I'll let you know immediately if it does.

I suspect you'll want someone to at least serve ad your daytime secretary, and probably to take payments as well? I'm not sure if there's anyone I know of who's looking for a job like that right now, but I'll be sure to mention it around and perhaps we can find someone to help when I can't. If that's all right with you, of course.
