[She touches down next to him, making sure to make enough noise and wind to alert him to her presence]

Doctor? I'm right here. [She reaches out and gently touches his shoulder while guiding a rather nice stick into one of his hands]

This is going to be bothersome. Especially if this is happening all over the island, and I suspect it is.
