I've been to every clothing store in this city and not a single one of them had anything I could possibly wear. The only silk shirts I could find had short-sleeves and these horribly garish floral prints on them, which I positively refuse to touch. I took a photograph with the computer phone (Millie, did you know it could do that?):



You see what I mean? Dreadful.

I have always wanted to live on an island paradise, but I assumed that I would be able to dress myself properly while Millie and I were there. And that there would be mermaids. Would that this were Series Five.

Spirit traveller is the technical name for it. I did it in my dreams, after I was asleep. I would get out of bed and walk through the wall to The Place Between — The World Edge — and go on from there. There are hundreds and hundreds of valleys with streams, and you sort of just walk down the right one until you get to the World you want.

Most don't do it like I do, of course, but I am the best spirit traveller in all the Related Worlds. Everyone else needs a medium of some sort to keep them anchored. A friend of mine has to be put in a trance while a young lady plays a harp, and he couldn't even see the valleys until I helped him.

Uh, most of the time, anyway. I've been to sleeping worlds, too.

I've left by dark corridors ... and my friend travels by gummi ships. There are other ways I've learned to travel between worlds just recently, but they're new to me, and honestly, kind of useless here.

I've also gone between worlds in a Traveller's caravan. It takes ages, though. How does one travel by gummy ship? Is it a boat made out of rubber?

It all seems to be quite useless here.

And yeah, that's the bad part. Knowing you can go places, but you just can't right now.
