Och! I don't understand anythin'! "Fictional worlds"? "Fake people"? "Nothin' but stories?" It makes no sense! As real as th'sky bein' blue, Scotland is. Sure, a legend or two may have been a wee bit exaggerated, but this? This seems like th'unreal thing, not th'other way around!
It's not fair. I refuse t'believe any of this nonsense.
...So, if anyone could be so kind as t'point me t'the exit, I'd be much obliged.

I don't know!
[She has no plan of action. Frankly, she doesn't know the setting or its boundaries well enough to. It still doesn't change her sense of urgency.]
All I know is that if I don't get back t'Scotland soon, Mum is goin' t'be a be--- she'll be gone, and she'll never come back. And it will be all my fault.

What is happening, exactly?
no subject
[She pauses for a moment, thinking of how to word things correctly.]
A witch turned Mum into a bear. If I don't find a way t'reverse th'spell by sunrise tomorrow, she'll be stuck as a bear forever. One that won't remember anythin' about bein' human.

[Oh.]
The island sure picked a really bad time to invite you.

[Please don't say death.]
Now ye see why I'm puttin' up a fuss. [She sighs, glancing away from the camera.] If I knew someone else could help Mum, I wouldn't be so upset; but Dad doesn't believe in magic and my brothers weren't there t'hear the witch's message about how t'break it. They won't know what t'do.

I'll help you look.

However, his offer takes her by pleasant surprise.]
Ye will? Well then... thank ye kindly. I appreciate any help I can get.
...Erm, I'm Merida, by th'way.

Jack Frost. [Smirking, he takes a bow.]
no subject
[Pffft. She returns his bow with something of a mock curtsy, though it's mostly halfhearted due to the oddity of her current situation.]
Sorry about... well, all that, Jack Frost. [Her snappy behaviour, that is; not that she's too much happier now, but his offer to help her definitely earned him some brownie points and might have instilled more hope than she previously had.]
no subject
[he grins, eyes lit up with amusement.]
Don't worry about it. Situation considered, you've been very reasonable.
no subject
[Well now, that's a compliment she didn't expect.]
I suppose. It definitely could be worse; I could be goin' around and shootin' arrows at everythin' I see.

[Is that pride in her voice and features? Why yes, yes it is. Archery, even talk of it, always raises her mood.]
