I'm interrupting everyone's busy schedule of catching mice and grooming for a very important announcement: It's Harry's birthday tomorrow! Happy Birthday, Harry!

So, I'm not sure how comfortable you are with making this all public, but let's be honest, birthdays are always partly an excuse to publicly embarrass the birthday boy. At least I'm not singing. Yet. I will in a few hours, when it's your actual birthday, I'm just starting early, because you never know what this island will be up to next.

I did however already get you a present and I think I finally managed to work out most of the kinks.

I've been working on it for a while now and chances are this one won't break free and evade capture for months on end. Probably. Anyway, I'd like to celebrate. If you don't mind. There's a lot of catching up to do and I have some things to show you.

Your bike? The peddle kind or the motorcycles? You'd think any sort of bike would be harder than a broom.

Motorcycle. I reckon it's because it's intended to be moving and steered and used for transportation, as opposed to a broom, so you need a different array of spells.

Nothing beats flying on a broom though, so it's worth the trouble. I'm Sirius Black, by the way, nice to meet you.

Nice to meet you, Clara. And, yeah, that's how it works, the spells kind of stack up. For a broom, you need a pillowing charm, stabilization, brake spells, all of that.

But it's worth it, because it's the closest you can get to flying freely.

A pillowing charm? You mean they actually have tush support? I always wondered about that. Sitting with a wooden stick between your legs just seems like a bad idea.

Must be nice. Do you play that game too?

It's pretty comfortable, actually, though it must have been hard on one's arse before the pillowing charm was invented.

I used to, back in school. Beater. Haven't in a while now, due to... reasons.

The beater is the one with the bat? Could always play against Harry here.

Need to get a second broom to work first, but that'd be the plan. It'd be great if we could get an actual game going, but... Better than nothing.

Well, if you eventually figure out of people not from your world could ride then you could start teams and everything. Or if brooms are too hard you can play on bikes.

I don't think bikes would ever have the needed mobility, but I'll try to make brooms work. Then I just need to find a couple of people not scared of heights.
