[Closed Log]
Who: Koizumi Itsuki and Sirius Black
What: an honest-to-god conversation!
Where: their apartment, at least to begin with
When: the evening of September 1st
Warnings: scars; possible mention of violence, trauma, or psychological damage
Koizumi let out a deep sigh when the door to his apartment closed, finally able to let go of his cheerful smile now that he was alone. He loved people, but sometimes having to deal with them was simply exhausting, and he was still getting tired more quickly than usual, as his body tried to tell him not to strain himself. A little of that was inevitable, given he still had occasional closed spaces to deal with - most were small and incidental, occurring at night, probably caused by a bad dream, but it still wasn't easy on him.
He made his way over to the bathroom, taking his shirt off and draping it across a chair. His chest ached. Staring at his tired reflection, he slowly unwound his bandages, revealing three deep gashes across his torso - mostly healed, but moderately irritated at the moment - and a large patch of pink, slightly-inflamed skin across his right side, where a fairly severe burn had been. At least the infection seemed to be gone. And the only outwardly visible sign of his injuries - if he wore a long sleeved shirt, which he had taken a habit of doing, despite the hot weather - was the paling scar across his cheek. Things to be grateful for.
He took out his ointments and antibiotics, and he slowly started to clean the gashes, so he could put bacitracin on them - and burn cream on his side - and re-bandage them.

But even so he had to sleep, as much as he could, and he had to eat. He didn't ever spend much time in the apartment, although more in recent time than he had the months before, but he was there now, heading out of his room to the kitchen and that's when he glanced Koizumi's way and his eyes widened.
"What in Merlin's name happened to you? Fuck..."

Though... it looked like Sirius didn't know he had been in the hospital? He hadn't exactly broadcast the fact, but from the number of visitors he had received, he had kind of supposed it was fairly common knowledge. He smiled ruefully, think it said something about him, that he could disappear for a week without his roommate noticing. "Ah, hello, Sirius."
He gave something of a shrug and kept his voice casual, trying to downplay it as much as he could manage. "It happened during the time travel fiasco a couple weeks ago. I was sent to a hostile possible future, and wasn't terribly prepared for it."

"You're not likely to have any bad reaction when I use magic to try and heal you up some, are you? I'm not a healer by any stretch, but I know enough to make this a little better..." He whistled between his teeth and shook his head. "What future was that, wrestling with dragons?"
no subject
When he asks about the future, Koizumi unconsciously averts his eyes, unable to meet the other's gaze. His voice was still light, but it sounded a bit... off. "An apocalyptic future, of sorts. Reality breaking down, and monsters of all sorts abounding."
He says the next as if it were a joke, but... it doesn't come out right, and there's an undercurrent of truth to the words. "I've never actually met a dragon, but I think I'd actually prefer it to several of the things I saw there."
no subject
"Dragons are quite brilliant, really. Dangerous though. I'd have liked to spend time with them, if my life had gone different, I reckon. Seems like the type of things I'd have done. Are you ready, mate?"
no subject
"I don't know much about them - or rather, what they're actually like. They're considered a common mythological creature in my world - if they're real, there isn't any sort of consensus on their general characteristics." He nods once. "Go ahead."
