[Guess what day it is! It's the start of school, but she doesn't know it. The thought has completely left her mind as she moves her hand to hit the snooze button on her device. It had to be the fifth time, but instead the video option turns on. The alarm is still going off with Rogue's hand still moving around until she hits the snooze button again.

Letting out a groan she tugs the covers up over her body and rolls over again.

The video captures her sleeping for another minute before shutting off.

Anyone care to wake her up?]

[ Have a pair of bright yellow eyes in a dark face peering at the lens. None of his features are really distinguishable except for his eyes. He taps at the lens and clears his throat. ]

U-um... Excuse me miss. H-hello? Your thingy is making lots of noise...

[Rogue hears something, but thinks it's the alarm clock going off again. damn thing, why did she set it up again?

She'll reach over to try and shut it off.]

[There's another groan as Rogue continues to try to find that damn off switch without looking at it.]

Five more minutes.

[There's no noise of doors or windows opening, but there is a slow, paper-on-paper sound that might intrude into Rogue's sleep a moment before a playing card lands on her head.

Then another.

And another.]

[The sound of paper on paper goes unnoticed as does the first card lands on her head. It isn't until the third card lands on her head that she starts to roll over. Something's in her bed...

She wakes up, vision blurry and forces herself to sit up. There's someone in front of her and after rubbing her eyes she can see just who.]

The hell are you doing here? [Why was Gambit, of all people, in her room?

She was still in control of her own body and she was pretty sure she wasn't dreaming. So then...what?]

You don't want to be more than ten minutes later on the first day, chere. Ten minutes tells them you don't care, and nobody stares too long. More than that, not so good.

[He takes a step back, leaning against the far wall, smiling just slightly.]

Breakfast will be on the table when you're up and dressed. Come out while it's still hot.

[And he's leaving, closing the door behind him, just like that.]

[Rogue will only stare at the other for a few seconds until what he says sinks in. Shit, it couldn't be the first day of school can it? Try as she can to wrack her brain for the right information he slips out of her room, telling her breakfast was on the table.]

Hey!

[No use in arguing with him now. She gets out of bed, muttering 'damn Cajun,' 'Swamp Rat' and other things under her breath. It doesn't take no more than five minutes before she's out of her room dressed for the day. No point in asking how he got into her room.]

I don't have to do anything. I do what I like. That's the wonder of being me. Hush puppies and bacon?

[He'll slide a plate across the table without looking up from the stove, where he's working on a second portion for himself.]

[Rogue stares at him, but does pick up her plate of food.] So you like breaking into girl's rooms while they're sleeping. Great ta know.

[Which doesn't help with her awkwardness with him. The last time he did this...it ended up with them kissing. No, no, she has to get that out of her head. Setting her plate down on the counter she starts to grab glasses of water for her...and him.]

[...Well, that wasn't good. Koizumi knew Rogue well enough by now to not relish the thought of being the one to wake her up. On the other hand, she would almost certainly not like missing the first day of classes.]

Ah, Rogue? I think you'll find you might not want to sleep in today as much as you might expect.

[..what is with her alarm clock continuing to go off? Rogue reaches over to fumble around with the device to get it to shut off.]

I'm not actually an alarm, Rogue. It's Koizumi. [His voice is as unbothered and cheerful as ever.]

Today is the first day of school, it would probably not be a good idea to be late.

She reaches over to grab the damn thing to look at it. Her vision is blurry, but she does take notice of the date.]

How...? [Her brain is slow on the uptake. She was trying to sleep! Sleep was good! Wonderful even!]

[He switches the feed to video, and tries his best to keep any amusement from his expression.] It's only 45 minutes till the first bell, Rogue.

She moves her device away, intent on putting it back on her nightstand.]

[Annnd that'll wake her up. She hasn't heard that voice and tone since she was a kid. For a brief moment she thought it was her mother calling her, but no that was impossible. Instead she snatches her device to glare at Carol.]
