Who: The Eleventh Doctor and everyone!
What: TARDIS POOL PARTY!
Where: The TARDIS
When: September 7th through the end of the event
Warnings: None so far~
Eleven could never resist an opportunity to show off his beautiful and constant companion, and everyone was so stressed out by the heat, this was the perfect solution. Instead of out of the way, like he'd usually park her, the TARDIS is slap bang in the middle of the apartment courtyard, doors thrown wide open and a couple arrow signs - written in crayon, of all things, and with far too many exclamation points - giving directions to the pool.

...How did you get the inside to fit?

So...
[ he looks back towards the door, it was like trying to force two pieces of a puzzle together he just knew would never fit. ] ...is the front door like... a portal?

..Er, yeah, I think I got that far.

Then why did you bring it up?

Well, whatever. Just how big is this place anyway?
no subject
Actually, I don't even know. I lost track of all the rooms I'd made centuries ago, and it's changing constantly, with both of us adding and removing rooms all the time. Plus, she cheats! She archives rooms I haven't even designed yet.

[ He's trying to follow all that. ]
[ aaaaaand ]
[ failing miserably. ]
..Huh?

"Sheska! Yes, hello!
All right, there? Anything I can get you?"
no subject
"Hello, Doctor! Oh, no, I'm just fine, thank you, but I did want to thank you for allowing us to sort of invade en masse. I mean, this is a lot of people all coming to visit at once."

Yep, I can delete rooms anytime! Or create them! They take power, same as anything else on the ship, and when you delete them she gets that power back! It's like...
Well, it's like alchemy, really. There's energy in the structure of things, in all that bound up matter. Matter and energy, they're just two sides of the same coin. The TARDIS can switch back and forth between them, flip that coin when she wants to."

"Good to see that you're taking a break."
no subject
"I-I, um, well, yes, I thought it wouldn't hurt to come watch people swim. I should probably put in some overtime, but... I needed a distraction, I suppose." She ducks her head shyly, tucking her hair back. "I-it's nice to see that you got a chance to come have a bit of a break yourself! You're always so busy..."
no subject
"You deserve a break. I know you've been working harder than most of us. Is the AC at the station out too?"

"They're working from where ever. We didn't even have a base for the longest time so it's not much of a set back."
no subject
"Well, I'm glad that you aren't forcing yourselves to bake. It must be an oven that building! At home it didn't usually reach quite this temperature. In the east, toward the desert area, certainly, but Central City was much more even, climate-wise. Is it much different where you're from?"

She smiles "You remember from that time we were all in high school, right?"

Bliss! It was strangely fresh - almost too fresh, without the taste of the mountains and earth, and there weren't any fish to play with, but it was cooler even than the ocean, and there were people! She swam like a natural, even still clad in her usual tunic. The fur of her leg wraps wouldn't have taken the water well, so she'd left those aside, but what was the point of changing into one of those funny skins?

Once there she quick changes into a simple black one piece and throws her hair back into a pony tail before jumping right in.

How are you? Anything I can get you?"

Such a part of his own television culture, the TARDIS did feel something like an old friend at times, and he didn't head straight for the pool but rather lingered in the control room, leaning over the controls.
He wasn't about to touch anything. Who knew what might happen if he did.

"Well enough, I suppose, though I'm starting to feel the strain of being here for so long." Arthur passed a hand over his face, pinching the bridge of his nose, but quickly shrugged it off. "It amazes me how you manage to stand being stuck in one place."
no subject
Well, it's not always easy, but... it's always the people that are the important parts. As far as people go, New Moore seems to have hit the jackpot. As long as I have my friends and... well. My family. I could stand to be anywhere for them. For you.
And the island is wibbly enough that it's almost like traveling, being here. Just... a bit slower."

Still, he smiled at the touching sentiment and looked over to the Doctor with a reassuring expression. "Not to worry, eh, lad? I've been alright so far."

"You'll have to pardon me if I don't join the party immediately." He paused, then let out a low chuckle and shook his head. "I'm afraid I've never been much of a swimmer."
