The ABC Murders was a really good read. I definitely recommend it! And if you've already read it then I'd be more than up for discussing how great it was.

I mean, Obviously, Poirot's not even close to better than Sherlock Holmes but he's pretty good.

I should ask first if you're familiar with a supposed work of fiction about a boy called Harry Potter.

Oh, yes. They're quite popular in the UK and America at the moment.

.. Your name on this network is James Potter. I normally wouldn't ask, but given the context - any relation?

Ah. Therein would lay the problem.

In my world, he is fictional. However, take heart; in another world I'm a woman out of her time.

Can you explain?

Apparently, your son is not the only one to feature in a book.

I'm a minor character, however.

Minor characters can have more of an impact than you might think.

Oh, I would hope so.

However, it is quite jarring to find you're a supporting player in someone else's story.

You seem to have taken it very well.

I do my best.

Now I feel a little impolite for not knowing who you are.

Oh, don't. I actually prefer it.

Too many people aware of the intimate moments of your life?
I could see that getting uncomfortable.

Yes, quite.
You feel the same?
braveatheart: (045)

[personal profile] braveatheart 2013-12-17 01:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Undoubtedly.
I had to tell my wife that I was murdered before she could find out from anyone else.

I can't imagine she took that well.

Better than you might have thought. It wasn't as if we didn't expect it, after all.
But no, not very well.

I suppose it's a bit trite to say that 'at least you're together now'.

A little, but it's true. I'm grateful for that.

It's a very large thing to be grateful for.

I can't begrudge you that.
