I hate to bother everyone with questions about another holiday, but I've been reading up on Christmas and... well, I'm kind of confused.

Are we supposed to celebrate the religion or Saint Nick and his magic, and is it for one day or twelve? I keep seeing both in the books.

Oh! And Jack, you're mentioned in the books, too. I thought you'd like to know.

Um... a lot of them are important, and I know Christmas is one of them. I'm just trying to figure out what exactly I'm supposed to celebrate for it.

Well, some say it celebrates the winter solstice, and others say it celebrates the birth of a god.

Though in general, it's supposed to be a time of well-being and cheer and gift-giving.

There isn't really a right or wrong way to celebrate it, what matters is what's important to you.

That's something I'm having trouble with as well. Perhaps the holiday is a combination of both things?

I... don't think so. Saint Nick and the baby god don't ever appear together in anything, but both appear in books on Christmas... if that makes sense.

It somewhat makes sense. But if both of them appear in different books and the lessons or morals are the same, perhaps both aspects of the holiday are meant to be celebrated.

Well, the baby god is just supposed to evoke love and worship from people, but Saint Nick gives presents to good boys and girls.

From what I've gathered, you can probably just pick and choose which parts to celebrate. It seems pretty ridiculous.
