Of course they were real! It didn't always go the way I planned, mind you. The dragons tried to trick me back, but with my mermaid and troll allies, we rescued all of the people lured by the kelpie, who don't smell very good and they have sharp teeth that will sink right into the flesh of their victims, but I saved the people, even as the dragons shot at us with their very hottest flames!

I don't make things up! I even got into a sword fight, with the sharpest blade forged from sub-zero temperatures itself!

And how did the mermaid assist? Did this all take place underwater?

They weren't, these were two separate battles. The mermaids created huge tidal waves that doused the dragons' flames! None of it took place underwater.

So mermaids are against dragons and also kelpie and frequently get involved in battles.

These mermaids do. They're quite territorial.

All mermaids are territorial. They're not known to be helpful to other species though.

I've met more than enough. They help me, of course. But as a whole, they don't exactly like anyone else.
