I guess not necessarily, but 'terrible' blows enough without it overlapping with 'fascinating'. In my experience, 'fascinating' also translates into 'wow, kind of creepy, actually?'!

That's a trait that's been ascribed to me before.

It seems as though people are more readily able to process their fear as violence, whether or not that is rational.

For example, I would assume that for a group of criminals, threatening a teenager would serve no useful purpose.

Useful isn't always on a criminal's mind, I guess. Even bad guys have their off days! Doesn't excuse them from needing an butt-kicking though.

Also, is this you trying to tell me that a group of criminals tried to start something with you?
