I'm conflicted. The structure of the two-part River Song series showed, in my opinion, a good grasp on suspense in storytelling as well as enough emotional impact through Donna's storyline such as to give me hope that it might be handled with surprising adeptness for a television medium. However, I find the conclusion of Donna's overall arc in conjunction with the companion arc of yore to be a foreboding omen.
