I do not understand why everyone is so needlessly upset. It is nothing but foolish behaviour.
This island always causes strange occurrences. It is useless to fuss over something so stupid.

And if you so much as look at my sister funny, I will chop it off again.

Belarus' accent is her own - different at times from a native Russian one, her words occasionally clipping more into her own language than her Brother's. But, it's certainly Russian, and she's certainly staring at Natasha in a new light. )

You're from Belarus, right? I was born in Volgograd, although I moved to America when I was young. [ She hesitates -- but so far, she's really found little reason to keep her identity secret. And it was unlikely that anyone else who would watch this feed spoke Russian, anyway. ] My name is Natalia Ivanovna Romanova.

I am Belarus. It is not often I find another in this place that knows of it, though. ( She's pleasantly surprised - it's been a while since she's spoken in Russian with someone else, let alone someone she feels she can hold a conversation with. She frowns at the mention of America - sigh, another one, lost to the fold - but is not surprised. So many of their people left, it'd be hard not to expect it. ) Natalia? Hmph. A good name.

The Norse pantheon exists, and countries are people. Fair enough. She's over her initial shock as soon as she felt it, and she breezes on, smiling a little at the compliment. ] Thank you. My foster father gave it to me. I hold it very dear.

He had fine taste, then. It is a name I use myself when I must.

When you must?
