Has anyone seen the recent development on the telly? The TARDIS picked it up and alerted me - it seems that fourteen "fictional" citizens have been kidnapped and are handcuffed in pairs in various sorts of dungeons. I don't know what's going on yet, but I'm going to find out, and I'm going to stop it.
Doctor - Jenny's among the kidnapped. Where are you? We need to find her, and quickly.

No indication of where they might be, nobody I've talked to has ever seen anything like it before, and I couldn't get anything on the sonic. Any ideas?
yay psychic paper
Possibly they're lax on building code, and due for a safety inspection?

And even if they do things differently, and know that we are not safety inspectors, their reaction to our visit should tell us something.

A while later, again; Audio
The broadcast is carried by hidden underground cables that run almost all the way to the visitor's center before sinking too low to track. So... how do we track them? Can't just take the TARDIS below ground - no idea what's down there, so the TARDIS can't lock on. No way to get the parameters without first going down there, which would make the parameters pointless anyway since I'd already be there. Okay, no, forget the TARDIS then.
Come on, Doctor! There must be a way. Think, think, think!

We use the sonics to up the interference on the cables, creating static. If we measure how long it takes for the static to appear, assuming the cables don't bend too much, and assuming the resistance is constant, which it should be - any other design is just stupid - we can tell how long the cable is, and we might just be able to follow it down. Genius!
[Grin] I'm glad I thought of it.
By the way, Doctor, someone seems to have found what may be the entrance to one of the underground dungeons, here. I figure we should check that out as soon as we've followed through on the cables.

... yes! Seven signals, three matches. One of the matching locations is spot on that hole in the ground.
How many helicopter touchdowns were there?

We have two TARDISes. I say we split up to cover more ground, maybe take some of the other citizens who are out looking for their friends. By what we saw near the helicopter landing sites, these dungeons are very dangerous, and we may not have much time to spare.

Handcuffed in a dungeon?
What the bloody hell are they playing at, taking people like that?
