Who: Jenny, Shepard and Open?
What: Protecting civillians
When: Sunday evening
Where: All over New Moore
Warnings: Character Death
The NMPD had split into pairs to help protect the residents of New Moore, non-fictionals and fictionals alike, from the sudden influx of monsters. Jenny was paired up with Shepard as her partner and the two of them patrolling the inner city, protecting who they could and taking out whatever monsters they could take down.
Jenny's mind had been on Jack, and trying to help figure out where he might be and how they were going to help him. But right now, many more people needed her help, and she was sticking close to Shepard as the patrolled. Already she could count at least 9 markers of the Silence, and it was disorienting to feel the heat of her gun and not remember firing it, whenever they lost sight of the creatures. But she had listened to all of her Dad's warnings and she was keeping her eyes on anything that moved, and anything that looked like it might move. So far she was just relieved they had not run into any of the Weeping Angels. Because it was hard to say what they would do against them.
As they passed another dark path between two buildings, one of the non-fictionals stumbled out of the darkness, shaking, then straightened, looking confused as to their actions.
"I think we've got another one, Shepard." She nodded her head to the alley, putting a hand on the young man's shoulder and instructing him to go inside and lock his doors until the sun came back up.

"Jenny?!"
When she said the greeting, he let out a strangled sob and, ignoring the fact he should be flying the TARDIS, ran over to envelop her in an enormous hug, burying his head in her shoulder. After a few moments he pulled back to really get a look at her.
There were so many thoughts running through his head, so many things he wanted to say - how he thought he'd lost her again, how he would try harder to be a good dad, how glad he was she was all right. Instead, what came out, in a rather disbelieving and squeaky voice, was -
"You're ginger!"

Disregarding it, she hugged the Doctor back, squeezing tight before beaming right back at the younger Doctor and dragging him into another hug.
"How did we get in the TARDIS?" Her brows furrowed as she set eyes on Shepard's unconscious form. She remembered the call for back up and then - nothing? When she tried to think about it, it made her head hurt. Nothing was there.

The Doctor stops and takes a quick breath, obviously trying for a positive emotion to cover the maelstrom - of fear, guilt, anger, sorrow, regret, self-hatred, and disbelief - he was still feeling inside. He tries again, voice quieter this time.
"We didn't think you were coming back to us."
