Who: Tony & Bruce
When: After JARVIS' attack
Where: Retro arcade
What: Totally not a date okay
Warnings: None

Technology taking over had always been a popular theme in sci-fi, but Bruce had never thought he'd live to see it actually happen. So after JARVIS went rogue and caused not only Dummy and Helper to attack the Avengers, but the Iron Man armor as well; he was completely open to getting back to his roots. Tony had stumbled across an arcade full of the old video games of their youth and casually mentioned that it would be a good getaway from the tower. Bruce suspected ulterior motives but agreed anyways, because it sounded so completely normal, and he liked normal.

"I think we're the oldest people here," Bruce pointed out with a laugh as they battled the spawn of a familiar green dragon in an attempt to save a certain princess who was not even in that particular castle.

Tony would never admit just how much JARVIS losing his shit had gotten to him. It wasn't exactly that he was so narcissistic as to believe JARVIS could never be hacked (He was, actually, pretty close to that narcissistic), but it had never happened, and it was like a personal attack, rather than his usual take on the Island shenanigans. Not to mention the security risks, the nearly getting the other Avengers and Sheska into some serious danger. He needed some more built in safety switches in JARVIS' protocols. He felt so... violated.

It did, however, present a perfect opportunity to take Bruce out get out of the tower for a while and just have some fun. The arcade had been a lucky find, and yeah it was full of noisy, overconfident kids, but he didn't care. Because he could beat any one of the snot-nosed tykes at any game in this place.

Strange warped New Moore names or not.

Tony cracked his best you-only-live-once grin, without a care toward their slowly gathering crowd of spectators who were trying not to be as obvious as they were. Yes, this is how it's done. Watch and learn future arcade prodigies. Some day you too can be a checking for gray hairs in the mirror arcade master.

"Just means we have more experience. These kids don't appreciate the art form of these games anyway." He stopped himself from calling them classic. Tony Stark was not an old man. Not in his head, at least. Certainly not of body since the new arc reactor went live. His character bounced on the head of a Fire Dude as he spared the arcade a quick glance.

"Graphics are nothing without the right ideas behind them." Which is something Tony takes seriously. Yes the things he makes are shiny, flashy, designed for aesthetics. But unlike Hammer and other companies, what lies beneath that fresh coat of paint is just as refined and perfected. There is just as much or more thought and care put into it.

He doesn't do half-finished or below the line quality, and he is never satisfied. Always trying to make it better, stronger, faster.

"Once, in middle school. I never finished it though." He was never satisfied enough with the way it came out. "Not really my style." He had taken plenty of others and improved on them for his use, or to make them smarter to give himself a challenge. They had all been too easy after a while.

"I thought about going back to it, but I got caught up working on things that had more practical uses." Of course, 'Practical' was always up for interpretation when it was Tony.
