[Video/Possible Action at the cemetery]

[animator]

[The feed shows a very troubled-looking Anita perched on top of a nondescript gravestone in the island's cemetery. The area around her appears to be otherwise vacant, but there's a low, almost droning sound off-screen that sounds like it might be the continuous rasp of another person's voice. Her eyes dart upwards to look at something behind her phone before she turns her attention back to the camera.]

So it seems like this memory loss is pretty widespread. I'm seeing a lot of people who don't remember anything about themselves. That's pretty well-established by now. I've already met someone nice enough to tell me my name, but I've got another question.

[She turns the camera just long enough to show that there's a young man standing across from her, although he's covered in a fair amount of rot and has begun to decompose. He doesn't seem to be aggressive in the least. In fact, all he's doing is standing there, smiling obliviously, watching Anita patiently as though he's expecting some kind of further interaction.

The camera turns back to focus on Anita's face.]

This guy keeps following me everywhere. He's not doing anything. Just shadowing me.

Course, you could say that about most of our circumstances right now. I've been in this building for a full day and haven't found the exit yet.

[animator]

"Bizarre" does seem to be a running theme.

You what? How big can that place possibly be?

I don't know! I don't even think I'm going in circles!

He looks like that guy from yesterday. Only calm. Where are they coming from?

[Audio]

[animator]

I ran into a couple of them yesterday, too, but haven't seen any since. Just this guy. I'm not sure where they're coming from, though. He's been following me for the past hour.

[Audio]

Do you want some help with him? They weren't particularly friendly.

[Audio]

[animator]

I might have to keep you on standby for that. He's not -- doing anything. Just kind of following after me like some decomposed rag doll.

If he pulls anything, I have a gun.

[Audio]

[steelweb]

Which is not at all suspicious. [Oh, deadpan dry humor. Still such a staple.] I'll keep an eye on this phone thing just in case.

[Pause.] You can use a gun? [Another pause.] What is a gun?

[ Sherlock is not someone who particularly likes what he is about to say, but. It makes sense in the way that everything else makes less sense. ] Necromancy.

My instincts told me "zombie," but it's hard to follow.

Makes me wonder why he's here, though. With so many people struggling with memory loss, it's difficult to see where or why necromancy would come into play.

You think I knew this guy before he died?

That is totally a zombie.

[Kate pauses.] I don't know how I know about zombies. But that definitely is one.

That was my instinct, too. I was just hoping someone else would say it out loud before I did.

Because, you know, zombies. That's crazy, right? Except here he is. He smells real, that's for sure.

Maybe it's not crazy. Maybe it's normal and that's why it's happening.

There's really not any way to tell when we don't have any idea who we are or why we're here.

That's the rub, isn't it. No way to piece together what's normal and what isn't, because nobody remembers.

[She shakes her head, letting out a low, frustrated sound.]

Well, if you and I are both thinking 'zombie,' I'm just going to have to swallow it, because I don't think he's going to be leaving me alone anytime soon. It's like he's an eighth grader with a crush or something.

Have you tried leaving the cemetery? See if he still follows you?

find out and help him complete what is holding him back so he can move on and give up his body

... yes. With all of the holes and loose bits, I can't imagine he's feeling too great at the moment.

then it might really be challenging to help him complete his unfinished business
