First they told him he was fictional, and then they told him he was not fictional. And now he seemed to have walked outside into a box of Lucky Charms, or maybe Ireland (and really though, what was the difference). Well, he'd certainly had worse days. The idea of having been fictional was laughable, of course, because he's America, and what's more real than that? But no one seemed to want to tell him what this was really about, so for the time being he might as well grab a beer and take a look around the place.

Of course, America probably wasn't expecting a teenage girl with dog ears and a school uniform straight out of the animes to come barreling towards him on roller skates.

"Watch out!" She puts her hands in front of her and closes her eyes, trying to throw on the brakes. Unfortunately, she overcorrects and ends up tumbling straight at his chest.

No, he can't say that he was. But in terms of strange things happening, she wasn't even the weirdest he'd seen today.

"Woah, careful!" He throws his arms out to catch her, making sure she's steady on her feet again before he lets go. "Y'all right there?"

"I thought I was going to be able to stop! But I'm okay. I'm still learning how to control them." She wobbles a little bit but remains upright for the most part; she still seems a little unsteady on her feet.

"I don't think we've met before! I'm Jade, it's nice to meet you...sorry about trying to knock you over!"

"Don't sweat it! Probably would've hurt you more than me anyway." America smiles at her and gives a thumbs-up, though he's watching that wiggle, in case he needs to catch her again. "Never really got the hang of skates myself. I'm better at skateboards! It's nice t'meetcha. I'm America. I guess I just got here."

"Well...maybe!" She seems deliberately vague, but that's about it -- probably has something to do with the two fluffy white dog ears on top of her head.

"Oh-- cool! I've met Mr. Prussia, he teaches at the high school. But Dave will probably be really excited, he lived in Texas."

Well, at least he wasn't alone in that -- nor would he be alone on the street, considering Ukraine is making her own way around, checking on as many people as she can when they're too drunk to answer her frantic phone calls. She's in fact wrapping one up now, hanging up and nearly dropping her mobile when she looks up to see someone she thought had been released already. "Oh!"

"Huh? --Oh. Hey!" America looks up to spot the source of the exclamation, and is pleasantly surprised by the familiar face. It's not like Russia's sister would've been the first person he'd've picked to hang out with, but she wasn't half bad either. Especially when her brother wasn't around.

"Funny seeing you here, huh?"
