[The honesty in his voice is what she catches. He's always joking, or trying to charm her. Maybe he's doing a bit of both, but what's....the deal between them? Him and the Rogue he knows?]

Thanks for comfirmin' that. Craziness runs in the family. [There's a twinge of sarcasm in her voice. Her mother is Mystique and Kurt's her brother in a way...so yes, craziness is in her family, including her X-Men family.]

That's a long, complicated tale, cherie. Years long. We both been on the X-Men a long time where I come from. We fight, and maybe you don't trust me that well all the time, and maybe sometimes you're right.

[The Gambit she knew and the one in front of her they were the same. They were both thieves. The Gambit she knew, the teen with the captivating red eyes, knew what to say to get her to go along, played her like a puppet, but she understood. He wanted to save his father and given their past history, asking her would've been foolish.]

You two are nearly the same. He's a thief, seemingly loyal to Magneto enough to be part of his Acolytes, but suppose not. We fought one another, came out as a draw and didn't see each other for a while. Not until his dad got kidnapped and needed me to get 'im out.

[A pause as she forces herself to talk about her mother.] I hate Mystique. For lyin' to me, for tryin' ta use me and everything. I never want to have a relationship with that woman. [Even in all that anger there's traces of hurt in her voice.]

I don't even know if I'll see him again. Like I said, didn't see him after that. [She looks him over again before shaking her head.

She's gotten enough information from him, now it's time to find a way out. Maybe touch one of the doctors to get their memories. Though if those memories or personality is too strong, it could overwhelm her.

It's a risk she'll take.]

They say Magneto was here, tried to get out until he get in trouble and the government make him disappear. 'Release,' they call it. Maybe that means they send you home, but maybe not. Until Remy know, best to sit and play solitaire and watch it all play out.

[Then he will understand why she gets stubborn at this point. No, she will get home, return to the Institute and have a 'semi-normal' life. She doesn't look phased hearing Magneto was on New Moore once. Really, where hasn't that man been?]

[She knows this first hand and though she might appreciate his help, there's still an issue of trust between them. He's gained something of her favor with the ego-stroking, but only time will tell if he lives up to his words.]
