What: Some baking at Shinji's place, not necessarily cakes but possibly.
Who: Shinji, obviously, and the very much invited Kaworu.
When: Tuesday July 23rd
Where: Shinji and Sherlock's kitchen.
[Shinji laid out all the stuff he might possibly use today for baking, including, but not limited to: flour, eggs, milk, sugar, powdered sugar, and several types of berries. Seeing it all together like that made him feel like he had overdone it, but the moment he had invited Kaworu he had wanted to make sure he would enjoy what he made. And then he had realized he really wasn't sure what type of sweets Kaworu preferred and... well, now here they were, with all of this stuff.
Shinji only hoped that maybe Sherlock and John would not mind eating the leftovers, and tried not to think of how much he felt like a girl on Valentine's day]

I hope I am not late.

Ah, no, I haven't started yet! I was just-
[turns around, prob with some flour on his hand, and looks at the box]
Is that for me...?
no subject
[Setting it down carefully on the counter.
When Shinji opens it, he'll find a small, squashed bouquet of chrysanthemums and geraniums, a cookbook, and a bar of baking chocolate. ]
no subject
Oh! This will come in handy today! Thank you, Kaworu-kun!
[and then notices the flowers. he brings them out as well, but they flop a little listlessly in his hands]
Ah...
no subject
[He rocks forward on his heels, eagerly.]
The chrysanthemums represent love, and the geraniums foolishness, because there is no flower which indicates socially awkward behavior in the language of flowers.
no subject
Yes! Very much! I've never gotten flowers before.
[props, Shinji! You're getting good at this whole appropriate reaction thing! He walks over to try and find a vase, making sure it doesn't already have some sort of mysterious liquid that may or may not be poisonous, and puts them in there, before filling it with water]
Love and foolishness... then together they mean love-fool?
no subject
I think so. I am not fluent in flower.

[the flimsy geranium is finally being held up by the vase. Shinji absently caresses it, making sure it stays up, before turning back to Kaworu]
Thank you, Kaworu-kun. [and then, feeling somewhat embarrassed he had thanked him again, quickly switches the subject] A-anyway, I was thinking we could make cupcakes? They're pretty easy to do.

[He pauses for a long moment, waiting in perfect still contentment, and then thinks to add.]
You will have to instruct me. There is an oven in my apartment, but I have never used it.
no subject
[he asks this a little absentmindedly, bringing out a bowl to START THIS SHIT UP, and measuring the flour i guess]
Could you measure 500 ml of milk, please?
no subject
[Measuring the milk. This part is similar to lab chemistry, he'll be good at it.]
