[He's trying to sound as if he's not tense or worried, but just a hint of it might show through, if she's very observant.] Aisling, how are you doing? I haven't heard from you in a while.

[A sleepy Aisling can be heard, but something is odd about her voice. There's a different timbre to it, and her 'r's are rougher.]

Mmmm? Aiden... Everything's fine here. You're all right as well?

That is good to hear. [Relief is evident in his voice, though its intensity is hidden.] I am fine, thank you.

The island appears to be up to something again - turning people into cats, it looks like. I simply wanted to make sure you were all right.

[The feed switches to video to view a yawning Aisling with sharp cat's teeth in a patch of brilliant sunlight, a snowy white tail quivering as she stretched and a pair of cat's ears flicking in her hair.]

I'm all right! Everyone else might have a hard time becoming animals, but I won't have any trouble.

[Rolling over onto her back so that she has to tilt her chin up and look at him upside-down, she smiles smugly.]

I've wanted to try being a cat anyway! I haven't had a chance to before, you know.

[He switches his own feed to video, giving her a broad smile.] I should have known you'd be fine.

[He'd been more worried about her being stuck in that form, and what that might have meant for her - but he wasn't about to mention any of that. His smile grows in amusement fondness as she rolls upside-down to look at him.] Well, I think it fits you, if you don't mind me saying. Even with only partial cat features, you wear it well.

[Preening, she rubs gently curled hands down her front a few times as though smoothing fur.]

I do. I'm good at animals!

[The warm sun is keeping her drowsy, and a soft purr can be heard even at this remove. Her tail sweeps lazily across the warm stone she's conquered.]

Oh? Well, if you really think so, my roommate is a wizard, you know - he might be able give me cat ears. [His eyes are positively sparkling.] I'll keep it in mind.
