[Rapunzel flicks on the video; behind her is the ocean, and she's dressed in an underdress and stay, as it's far too hot for further layers of clothing. To spare her tootsies from getting fried by the sand, she's sitting on a rather sizable quilt and above her is another quilt (she needed something to do to pass the evenings, don't judge her for quilting), which has been propped up with branches of a decent height to create a sort of make-shift cabana.]
I know this weather isn't exactly ideal, which is why I came out to the water.
["Beach" is the technical term, but "water" works find for her purposes. Never mind that she can't swim.]
Except it's kind of lonely, so I was wondering if anyone wanted to join me? If not now, then maybe for dinner tonight? I found a recipe for a cold soup called Gazpacho, and I have a large pot of it chilling in the cold box in the kitchen. Hiccup, Koizumi, Jack, Arthur?

Dinner sounds wonderful, too - I've never had Gazpacho, but I'd certainly like to try it.
And I've never had it either, but the recipe sounded good, especially for as hot as it's been.

[Koizumi strolled casually onto the beach around fifteen minutes later, raising a hand in greeting and acknowledgement. Despite the weather, he was dressed in what seemed his usual slacks and a light-colored, long sleeved shirt.] Ah, Rapunzel. Good afternoon.
[action]
Good afternoon. How are you?
[action]

[A bit of a nervous laugh follows that. It's a bit difficult to lug around 70+ feet of hair in this stifling weather, but she's hanging in there.]
Um, would you care to sit under here with me, out of the sun?
[action]
Ah, that would certainly be a welcome reprieve, thank you. [He carefully enters the fort, disturbing the structure as little as possible. When he's in place, he sits down casually in the lotus position, seemingly oblivious to how close this made the two of them.]
[action]
It's a little tricky, yes. The weather was never like this where I'm from.
And you're welcome!
[action]

I'm not entirely sure what the name was. I lived away from people most of my life. Well, all of my life until recently.

[She might have burned her feet just a little bit. Thank goodness for magic healing hair.]

[And he is flying in the distance some time later, sleeves rolled up and face flushed. Well, trying to fly. He sinks lower and lower until he gets jerked in one direction and tumbles into the sand. Ow.]
Hot, hot that's really hot.
[He jumps up and tries to freeze the area by reflex alone, but all that comes out are a few snowflakes and blue sparks.]
[action]
To the water, come on!
[Refusing to wait for the go-ahead, she takes his hand and drags him towards the lapping waves, where the sand is whetted and cooled by the salty ocean.]
[action]
[He puts his other hand up, trying to shield his face, but he notices Rapunzel's feet...and mostly stops flailing. He keeps his heels in the sand.]
You didn't have to do that.
[action]
[She sighs in relief as a wave laps over her feet, covering them in a film of sand.]
I wanted to. I know the sand is... very hot. It's not so bad once they're in the water and the wet sand, though. [She gestures to their feet, and glances back at her blanket fort of sorts.] It cools them off enough to make it back to there, at least.
[action]
[He lifts one foot out, while the other cools the water around them without any thought on his part.]
Okay, I feel better. You're hurt. You didn't have to hurt your own feet for me.
[action]
But that's my secret, and it's my turn to hide a secret from you.
[Cheeky, isn't she? Shouldn't have hidden your icy powers from her, Jack. Reap what you sow.]
[action]
You.
[Hopping out of the water now. He shrugs, trying not to appear as interested as he really is. No fair, Rapunzel!]
But now that you know my secret you have an unfair advantage. Wouldn't you rather even the playing field?
[action]
[She glances down to his feet.]
...Unless you're hurt. In which case, you'd have to promise on your life to never tell another soul.
[action]
I am pretty hurt.
[Just slightly hurt. He normally wouldn't admit it, but now he wants to know.]
I promise. [This time, it's true.] You have my word as a Guardian.
[action]
...Okay then. We'll need to get back to my spot. It's not much cover, but it's better than being completely out in the open.
[Taking a deep breath to prepare herself, she quickly trots across the sand and to her "blanket fort".]
[action]
[Jack goes sprinting across the sand, not even bothering with attempting to fly at first. The pain eventually wins out, and he jumps and soars to Rapunzel's "blanket fort"...it's a good thing it's soft when it catches his fall.]
[action]
[Though she sprints after him, there's no way she can beat him to the cabana-of-sorts. However, by the time she makes it there, she's both slightly out of breath and giggling. She slow to a jog and flops down beside him.]
You're really fast.
[action]
That's nothing. Wait until it's winter.
[action]
[She sits up straight and begins to reel her hair in, letting it pile beside her.]
