This is far too short. What was I thinking? [She tugs on the hem, biting her lip.] Maybe if I wore a skirt with it, but would that get in the way of the tail?

[She'd better get used to it, because it's not going away anytime soon.] Of course not, fate has nothing to do with it. Our relationship, however... let's just say it has very clearly defined roles. If you are unhappy with yours, you are more than welcome to try and change it at any point.
