Because, you still have a choice. Even if it seems like sand slipping through your fingers every time you're close enough to grasp what it is you're looking for, or worse, nothing at all, even if you can't believe it, you know who you are, and that means you have a purpose, and it's up to you to choose the outcome. You're Loki, for crying out loud! Give yourself more credit.
