[It's not too hard to find him since he's shooting blades of ice at the sky. She doesn't say anything, carefully and quietly coming up to him. It's not until she's two feet away that she says something.]

Hey...Mind if I sit down?

[He cranes his neck back to look up at her, tugging down his hood but not quite meeting her eyes. He rolls his shoulders, gently waving his staff around with little regard.]

Sure. Pull up a chair.

[Her first instinct is to go over to him and give him a hug, comfort him the same way she would with Ven. But he's not like him, nor does she know if he likes having his personal space invaded. All she can really do is take a seat next to him and sit quietly.

If he wants to talk, doesn't want to talk or just throw his powers around, he can. She won't stop him or force him to make conversation.]

[This goes on for a few minutes, before he finally stretches his feet out and stops. Not because he feels drained, but because he's so bored with shooting ice blades. It's not even enough, it doesn't do anything to calm him down, but he doesn't dare do anything more, so he just flops onto his back and stretches out his arms.]

That was dull. I believe I owe you a snowball fight.

[She watches him throw one blade of ice after another, admiring his power but knowing full well he can do much worse. When he flops down she looks over at him, bringing one knee up to lean on.]

Yeah, we could have a snowball fight or just...talk, if you like.

[A beat.]

I know how you feel, really. A few weeks ago I was tearing up the beach...it helped, but not that much.

[He glances at her, eyebrows arched at the word 'talk'.]

It's just-- what are we supposed to do? Things happen and we can't always stop them, but we don't even know our target here. A whole island? [He brings a hand to his temples, letting it drop violently as he sits up.] Anything that would help, I can't do.

I don't know what we are supposed to do or what we can do, except learn and try to move on from it. [It's hard for her to say those words, but they are the truth. As powerful as both of them and others are, they are still at the mercy of whoever or whatever is running New Moore.]

I can't. I can't do that. I don't know if he's happy wherever he is, I don't know if he's okay, or if he isn't. We don't know what happens to any of them. I can't just move on, not until I've tried everything.

I know...but we can have faith that they're okay. That maybe they're in a better place than this. [Because there are far worse places they could be. Far much worse things that could've happened.]

Do you think that if you believe in something strongly enough, it's true?

[There's a small nod of her head.] Yes, I do.

Even in a situation like this? [He glances at her again, eyes wide.]

[Nods again.] Even in situations like this. These are the times when hope is put to the test.

We have to remember, there are always far worse situations than where we are now.

But it's up to us to prevent those situations from happening. I mean, someone has to. But we can't do that here. Aqua...what do you mean by worse?

We don't have control over who goes hone and who gets stuck here. There's nothing to prevent.

...It could be worse.

Then there's nothing to talk about.

[She sighs and bows her head a little. ]

You could lose all your friends, your home and be trapped in another realm.

[Distraught, his eyes widen and he opens his mouth to speak, before the look is gone.]

That would be worse.

[She doesn't see his look, continuing to keep her head down. She still feels guilty over what happened.]

Which us why this place is better for some.

[He ducks his head and glances up at her again through his bangs.]

Yeah. In some ways, it is better.

[There's another slow nod before she looks up. There's a pensive look on her face, thinking over something important. After a moment she releases a slow breath.]

At least there's people here to talk to and the weather actually changes.
