[ The feed clicks on with a background score of faint mutters, fading in and out as if someone's thumb was briefly pressing over the mic. ] I gotta say, this waking up in a completely different place thing is getting kinda old. [ pause. ] Not that it's happened a lot, but I figured once was more than enough. As for the idea of having been fictional before – right. Sure. Somebody really outdid themselves this time around.
Now, I'd ask if anyone's been able to find a way outta this place, but something tells me the answer would be a no. So I guess I'll just stick with an introduction.
The name's Steve Rogers. Anybody know where I can find a good gym around here?

[ pause. and then, quickly: ]
How high were the casualties? Did we contain the damage to a small area?
voice;
Minimal. The damage was more or less contained. And we have a good clean up crew. I'm really fuzzy on the details with how you all won but I heard it went smoothly, all things considered.
voice;
Understood. That's good news. Or as well as can be expected, I'm sure.
Did you sustain injuries in battle?
voice;
[ pauuuuuuuse ] Nothing permanent. Are you already settled in? The roommate situation can be awkward on occasion.
voice;
And I haven't exactly met my roommate yet -- been spending most of my time outside of the apartment. It's hard to settle in here, truth be told. Hard to believe any of it's real.
voice;
The only cure for that is to pinch your arm. It's not exactly a foolproof method though.

Virtual reality?
voice;
The fake set up you woke in. But made with computers.

So they could make us think anything was real. Or at least try to.

I have a short list of people I keep surveillance on but nobody you need to concern yourself with at the moment, threat wise.
There are a few costumed characters that go about. They tend to be highly cooperative with each other and even the police force. Carol Danvers is one of them and is likely to introduce herself as an alternate universe co-worker of yours. She's incredibly helpful and could probably provide you will a full list of them if need be.
Lin Beifong is the name of the one heading the police department. I've offered my assistance to her. She acts kind of like Director Fury if that helps paint a picture.
The two vampires have sources that aren't living people. I have no idea what the zombie has been eating and I don't really want to know but he's very polite.
And lastly on the know, there are a few "fictional" characters around that could be recognizable to you as actually being fictional characters. Dr. Watson is an actual surgeon here you can go see and don't be alarmed if Jack Frost starts mentioning interesting facts about Santa Claus at some point.
