Good to know when you run naked and screaming into the woods in the middle of the night apparently they don't send you to the psych ward, but to some fantastic beach paradise.

This place reminds me of one of the islands the cruise my parents took me on a couple years ago when they broke the news that they were splitting up. Which is only minorly traumatizing in comparison I guess to being told you're fictional! Which is really cute because I'm so over this already.

Is anything worthwhile actually here? Besides sun and sand, obviously.

Gross, no. We're Presbyterian. All I remember was needing a good bath after my stitches were removed, and the next thing I know it's two days later and I'm ass naked in front of the Beacon Hills police department. If I had a better explanation for why I went for a two day nudie stroll, not really sure why I'd share it with a total stranger.

And I am calm. That's just what happened. They said it was a fugue state, dissociative amnesia related to post traumatic stress. Which is a crackpot diagnosis when there was no evidence of PTSD before I disappeared, but far be from me to expect competency from any supposed experts with access to Web MD.

Oh excuse me for trying to help you! This isn't freaking pity, this is empathy. I've been there before, okay? I know I never wanted to be in that situation again; I just figured you might want to do what you can to protect yourself next time. It's not a guarantee, but it certainly made me feel better.
