Good to know when you run naked and screaming into the woods in the middle of the night apparently they don't send you to the psych ward, but to some fantastic beach paradise.

This place reminds me of one of the islands the cruise my parents took me on a couple years ago when they broke the news that they were splitting up. Which is only minorly traumatizing in comparison I guess to being told you're fictional! Which is really cute because I'm so over this already.

Is anything worthwhile actually here? Besides sun and sand, obviously.

Ah, it's an island called New Moore. That's pretty much all anybody knows. And before you ask, we can't leave either.

And why would I wanna leave? This is like spring break came early.

Well it's kinda... permanent, at least so far. And weird stuff happens sometimes.

I'm sorry, do we both come from different towns? Weird stuff happening has easily become the freaking norm lately, or did you miss the last few weeks? You're saying here is weirder? What, are you captain of the lacrosse team?

...yeah somehow this place is weirder than home. Like, last week? I woke up and was a five year old again. And then my Jeep randomly showed up for no reason. It's really bizarre.

Skipping over the part that nowhere, fictional or not, deserves your junkheap of a car on its roads- You were five? As in years old?

I'm fine. I checked myself out of one after a random decided to gut me on the lacrosse field. It was totally annoying since the cops confiscated my banging dress afterwards.

You're in the military?

Used to be. Long ago and far away. But that's not important.

I wouldn't exactly call it a "vacation", but when things are good here, they're pretty good. How are you handling things?

Please. Do people normally go to pieces because they wind up here? I don't care.

And for your information, I can handle plenty of big things. I'd be happy to give you a demonstration if you wanted to go somewhere private.
