[So, since the amnesia plot started, Tony has been trying to play catch all the Avengers. Was this what it was like to be Coulson, trying to babysit the super-powered/super-spy team? He bought doughnuts and pizza and put JARVIS on high alert. He even mostly attempted to give the team some idea of who they were and where they were now. But let's face it, Tony was still Tony, and he could not resist a joking nudge in one direction or the other.

Bruce got the most honest appraisal, because Bruce needed to know. He had to know, because while the Big Guy might have had a certain fondness for Tony that extended from Bruce, the other scientist did not remember him. Which meant the Big Guy would also not remember. And Tony was not prepared for that eventuality, nor did he want Bruce regaining his memories to the added horror of having Hulked out on the island with not even the control he did have. Because he would get their memories back. All of them.

So in the video, Tony is holding a Stark Industries coffee mug, sitting in his lab chair, where he has been looking for either a source or a cure for this. Each of the Avengers' devices have been pinged by JARVIS with the location of the tower, and their names. (Clint's still reads his name to be Legolas, because Tony does not know when to let a joke die)]

Okay. I know there is a lot of confusion going around, what with most of you going inconveniently blank on certain... well.. most aspects of your lives. We are all stuck on this island, regardless of whatever powers you might discover, and for the moment it is staying that way, so buckle up kids, this is going to be a bumpy ride.

Keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times and do not, I repeat, do not kill your neighbors, or anyone else you meet. Do you really want to get your memories back to find out you just killed your best friend or brother or whatever other relationship you've managed to stumble into?

Everyone try to keep your heads attached. I'm running diagnostics on the water, the air, the network. Any possible contaminant or virus. If this does not wear off on it's own myself, and my buddy will find some way to reverse the effects.

Stay cool and watch the sports channel or whatever else is on TV.

Anyone not suffering a severe case of Soap Opera Sickness say aye.

So it's a definite possibility that we've all been drugged? I won't lie, that's one of the first things that came to mind when I started seeing how widespread this was.

With this island, just about every scenario is a possibility.

I am testing blood work for drugs right now, among other things. If it is that, it will be much easier to deal with than alternatives.

I don't make many assumptions anymore when it comes to this place.

That's what I've heard. Large-scale, mind-altering events are pretty common around here, from the sounds of it.

Personally, I have to say, I'm not a fan. I'm pretty sure I like my memories, my motives and my judgment intact and without anyone else invading my personal headspace. My personal space has seriously been compromised.

I think we all prefer to keep our head spaces under our own control.

This island doesn't really pay much heed to personal wishes and wants. It is more of a 'poke things with sharp things to see how they react' kind of place.

[Not unlike a scientist. Not unlike Tony. Which gives him some very specific notions about the island itself.]

There is not a lot of sense yet, to who is affected and who is not. Watch your back. There are a lot of people here with interesting powers and abilities, and most of them no longer remember they have them or how to control them.

It's like a 10 year old's birthday wish gone rampant.

[She lets out a brief, mirthless chuckle.]

You're preaching to the choir. I'm one of the many, it looks like. Thankfully, my particular problem is under control.

'Watch your back' is sound advice, though. I think I'll be taking it.

Do you ever think that maybe there is some sadistic 10-year-old in charge somewhere? Or someone with a similar idea of what's entertaining.

It's a singularly unique island.

Good to hear you have yourself under control. Now you just have to hope everyone else keeps a lid on their own until this gets straightened out.

Shouldn't be long. Some time between an hour and two weeks, depending on what it ends up being.

Or until the island combusts.

Whichever comes first.

Two weeks like this sounds beyond frustrating. I think I would take Combustion Island first.

Loki.

Tall, somewhat unhealthy looking guy with greasy hair or the shorter, younger one. Mostly kid-sized?

[She raises an eyebrow in reply.]

The adult. He did look like he could use a sandwich.

Remember that whole bit about watching your back?

That goes around ten times as much for that guy. Be careful around him. He may be just as affected as you, but either way he's high on the list of people to stay as far away from as you can manage.

Considering the fact that if you startle him, spears of ice suddenly appear, I'd already figured some of that out for myself. Magic can be dangerous, especially when it's not properly controlled. Even then, all depends on whose hands its in.

That said, it's possible that I wouldn't have been able to solve my own problem without him, so dangerous or not, I think it's still safe to be grateful.

I take it you two have history?

There was this minor incident where he set an army of alien soldiers on the planet and tried to take it over so he could rule it.

Other than that, we get along fine. Friendly banter. I give him advice on his concerning performance issues. We crash each others parties.

The usual.

I feel like I should be shocked. Maybe gasp and start fanning at myself, but for some reason, I'm not. I've seen and heard so many weird things over the past few days, why not add a story about an army of alien soldiers?

Hell, when I get my memory back, maybe I'll remember having met aliens of my own.

So, we'll say he's on the ambitious side with a flair for the seriously over-dramatic. You know, just to be concise.

It sounds like a nice working relationship.

That about sums him up, actually. Throw in serious family drama and you have it spot on.

I'm sure you can keep yourself safe, but if you end up finding yourself in trouble, let JARVIS know.

[There's a number on her screen, 6 digits long.]

Oh, of course there's family drama. Can't have world-dominating ambition without that.

JARVIS? [She pauses, taking the number down quickly.]

Apparently I have a gun and my body remembers how to use it, which was equal parts bizarre and comforting, but it can't hurt to have someone else to look to for backup. Still, how can you be sure I'm not one of the people to watch your back around?

[Because she accidentally raised zombies, Tony. One followed her around for a whole day, and it was gross, to say the least.]

Don't worry. I know how to watch my back. And I know who to watch it from, so far.

Just don't take my stuff and we won't have a problem.

That's good. Survival skills are important. I'm pretty sure I'm not a threat. But I have a gun, so, I don't know. Guess we'll see.

Pretty sure I'm not a thief. I think we'll be okay.

[She clearly enjoys you, Tony. You're pretty amusing.]

If you figure out you are a thief, we're armed and JARVIS doesn't take it lightly. He's had his circuits crossed too many times here.

[Tony grins, and it's pretty clear he seems to be joking. Everything with a lighthearted sort of jibe.]

[She grins in reply. Tony, you're just her style. Sarcasm and teasing are how she communicates best.]

Sounds like I might need more than just the one gun to break into that place. Thanks for the heads up, ace.

[Bruce wanders in a minute or so after Tony's broadcast. He's got a flashdrive in his hand, but for now, that is not the focus of his curiosity.]

What if this doesn't wear off? What if we're stuck not remembering?

That's not going to happen.

[Tony intentionally doesn't look up from the microscope as he focuses it, an image of the blood work on the computer screen in front of him too.

Right now Stark stubbornly refuses to acknowledge that possibility. Not when they had gone through so much already.]

Between the two of us, we're a pair of geniuses, Bruce, we'll figure it out.

[And that... that just hits on one of the pieces of information that frustrates him the most.]

How can I be a genius when I don't remember anything?

[he doesn't even remember ever being an undergrad, let alone his doctoral studies.]

You may not have your memories, but that genius brain of yours is still working away, Banner. You're one of the smartest people I know, and amnesia or not, that is still going to be lingering around in that head of yours.

Oh thank goodness. I remember!! I remember myself!!

Glad to hear someone does. This one really seems to have been trying for a full sweep.

Poland and I are both fine, so for a while I thought it might have been nations that were immune, but England is stuck too so I can't think what the pattern might be. I'm sorry I can't help you!

The extra data helps, what little of it there is. Narrowing the field of possibilities down more or less solo is not the simplest thing I've ever done..

Do you really think it is some sort of sickness? If so why is it not spreading?

This place has its own unique brand of sicknesses. They don't really care about following 'standard' patterns of infection.
