Gosh, I just love this time of year! Christmas is always the best! Getting together with friends and family, getting presents, the snow-

Speaking of which, where IS the snow? I mean, come on. Stupid secluded island captors can give us at least a little bit of snow, right? It's just not Christmas without snow!

Also, I'd like to point everyone in the direction of the newest business in town, Karaokedoki! I'm sure I don't have to explain it to everyone. It, of course, is a karaoke place! It's all ages, so no alcohol I mean come on, I'm 16 I'm not allowed to even drink it yet, am I? Did the age law change here? but there's snacks and lots of fun!

It'll open during Christmas break! I expect to see everyone there!

Yeah no. You can definitely be one. You're not turning your back on her if she's not even here to protect right now. You're not breaking any promises. She'd want you to be able to live a dream while kidnapped and forced to live on an island in a mysterious location, right?

Yeah, you imagine hearing that when you're twelve from a talking cat.

I still would feel bad... but she'd want me to be happy, right? I guess I could still have some fun until she shows up in this place... IF she shows up...

When you were twelve a talking cat told you your best friend was a moon princess from a thousand years ago?

A talking cat in a hat once told me it was okay to jump on the sofa when I was six but I don't think that compares. I wish he told me to guard a moon princess.

IFF she shows up, you go back to the usual and while she's not here you can be a famous singer. It's a good plan.

Well, not all of that. He told most of that to me a couple of months into the whole gig. He first just gave me a transformation pen and said "hey! You're meant to fight bad guys. It's your destiny." Or something like that. Artemis is a bit long-winded when he wants to be.

I think this might be a good plan. A very good plan.

He called himself a cat but he might be some sort of feline demon of chaos that preys on little children. It's totally different. He's supposed to clean the mess and leave before mom comes back. That's what Sally said but they're both evil liars and he totally didn't!

Do you know how horrifying that cat is!? He's the worst thing ever and is freakishly tall and those Things he brings out just wreck the place and-

Yeah. He does because he's annoying and evil. It's an expression of great happiness or respect, you can't just rhyme all the time like that unless it's in song. It's rude.

Is he really that evil? Why hasn't anyone put a stop to his evil rhyming ways?

He's magic. He's got a lot of tricks up his furr. The Grinch tried to stop him once but it didn't work. He always gets away. He's been at it for years and years and years.

...You know about them too? No, I don't know them. Um. Red fish and blue fish are just types of fish. Everyone's seen those.

I've never met the Grinch but I really admire his work. I watch him do the Whoville Christmas roast beast thing on TV every year. Or I used to we don't get that here... -...Horton's an elephant the Whos worship. They're crazy. "Blah blah we're all just a speck of dust being blown around by the great Seuss and he's sworn to protect us"
