Well I am a 24/7 laugh riot. [ He snickers at that.

But then something bubbles to the surface. ] I don't like hearing you talk badly about yourself.

But that's how I feel. [ His lips purse into a tight line. He really doesn't like admitting it. ] I'm not worthy of anything. Not really.

Yes you are. [ Stiles frowns. ] We all make mistakes, but you learn from them right? [ At that, he laughs dryly. ] I never take my own advice though. [ Aw crap. ]

Then you must be a genius. [ Derek pulls him close, nuzzling at his ear. ]

[ He laughs again. ] I wish. [ But he smiles at the nuzzling, purr purr.

He slinks his arms around Derek's hips. ] You're happy being with me, right? [ Goddammit brain. ]

Yeah. Surprisingly enough.

Awesome. Me too.

Really? [ Okay, stupid question right now. ] I just never thought... someone would want me.

[ Stiles looks down shyly. ] I-I thought the same thing.

I thought you were working on Lydia.

I— I'll always care about her, but I just realized she'd never look at me that way. [ He looks back up at him. ] Then I started falling for you.

You're falling for me?

I— [ Stiles stutters and he suddenly looks like a very red faced owl. ] Well! I thought that was obvious?! I mean why would?!

[ His face darkens a little, and he glances away. ] A lot of reasons.

I-It's not like. I mean, it's way too soon and I don't mean to say that I'm— [ His usually panic-iness mixed with this honestly curse or whatever was making all of his words garble before they could leave his tongue. ]

[ And Derek, unfortunately, takes it the wrong way. ] Look, you don't have to say anything. [ He pulls away, and stalks over to the window, putting his hands on the sill. ] Maybe it was too soon to tell you that you could stay here. And maybe it was too soon to sleep with you. But I want you around. You're one of the reasons I want to try and be a better person.

[ Stiles manages to gather his words when Derek talks.

And what he hears makes his heart clench. ] Wait, no! That's not what I meant.

[ He heads over but stands behind him, hands gripped tight. ] I just didn't... want you to think I was going to fast or being too clingy. But I want to be around you. And, And I want you around me...

[ Derek glances over his shoulder, and then turns a little, still resting one hand on the sill. ] I don't know if we're moving too fast or not. I don't really have a good basis for comparison. I just know that.. I like it when you're around. And I don't want you to not be around.

I-I don't know either. [ He shuffles his feet a bit and stuffs his hands in his hoodie pockets. ] But I don't think there's anything wrong with that?

I hope there isn't.

Not like it's anybody else's business, really.

Your friends worry. And probably with good reason.

[ He sighs. ] They probably do. But for right now... I just wanna enjoy this. I don't care if that makes me selfish.
