Aside from the bunny fiasco, this has been a pretty decent week. I haven't had to bail my sister out of jail yet, found a nice cafe that serves excellent tea, started job searching... all in all, not bad.

The bunnies were adorable, by the way. There's one hanging around my room, but I'm not sure what to name it yet. I'll think of something not to terribly cliche, like Roger or Jessica, or Bugs or something. [She shrugs.] At this point I'm just hoping my new roommate doesn't hunt it down for food.

Speaking of roommates, like I said, new one. I would love to introduce you guys to Sif. [Is that Lizzie ducking out of frame? You bet. A moment later she comes back up, wearing a bed sheet tied around her shoulders and a very badly put together hat that kind of matches Sif's headgear. Lizzie, stahp.]

Do not fear, Midgardian! The magical box that your food is in stands no chance against me!

[And Lizzie mimics stabbing something. A moment later she's dressed normally.]

No lie, she tried to stab the microwave. I'm sorry Sif, but we're going to have to discuss some of the modern technology we have here. Crash course.

[he's heading over with arms full of marshmallows, some cheeps, and a bag of chocolate. Odin knows where he got all this stuff, but he's at her door with marshmallows stacked so high that you can't see his face.

it's one of his childish endearing qualities.]

Lady Sif!

[a voice pipes up from behind the bags.]

I bring good tidings and the mallows of the marsh variety.

[How did her life come to this.]

Did you have to bring so many?

[She'll just relieve him of those, she guesses.]

[badnewsboy]

[it's pretty great.]

You may find it enjoyable, so I stocked it up.

[swordhappy]

We will both be as large as Volstagg if we eat all of this.

[Poking at the marshmallows through the bag with one finger, curiously.]

Are they meant to be so...unsturdy?

[badnewsboy]

You shouldn't ask that, the answer is quite long and boring.

[picking one up and tossing it in his mouth, looking pleased.]

[swordhappy]

I know you well enough to guess that means you don't know.

[She looks dubious about eating one, squishing it between her fingers.]

Er- Loki. I do not always expect you to have an answer.

[In case he thinks she's going to get mad about that, or something.]

[badnewsboy]

That's too bad, I was thinking of quite the elaborate lie to tell about them, though it hardly matters now.

[gonna eat another one, this is definitely the life.]

[swordhappy]

[She'll tolerate that, but when he goes to grab another one, she's going to have to put a halt to that.]

The microwave, Loki. What about it?

[badnewsboy]

[there's a marshmallow in his mouth as he skitters (like he's at home, even!) through the house and to the kitchen, he opens the microwave, shoves in the cheep, and slams it shut.

he chews.

swallows.]

Behold!!

[presses start.]

[This is Sif's extremely skeptical face, at his great act of pressing a button.]

What am I meant to be beholding?

[badnewsboy]

[the cheep is getting bigger and Loki looks like he's getting more excited.]

[swordhappy]

[Sif can't help herself; she's leaning over his shoulder, trying to get a closer look at it, unwittingly fascinated at watching it start to swell.]

Why is it doing that?

[badnewsboy]

[he's making jazz fingers like he's suddenly controlling the microwave.]

Science!

[swordhappy]

[Loki she so does not care about your jazz fingers right now.]

Does it just keep going?

[She didn't want to find this compelling but somehow it is, in a very odd, inexplicable way.]

I thought it may explode. I think it just grows to be wider and taller in stature.

[well, this is insanely fascinating watching this tiny bird marshmallow candy blow up.]

[swordhappy]

[But oh, the moment when it does explode, and splatters sugary goo all over everything in the microwave. Sif almost starts, and for a second there's an expression of absolutely bewilderment- before she cracks into a grin.]

And it does this every time?

[She knows she should not be encouraging him to do things like this, that she should be trying to set an example for him.

But. It just exploded.]

It's a reoccurring instance. I've tried it several times.

[he holds up a finger and out of one his pockets he produces a sharpie. he writes "ENEMIES OF ASGARD" on it very large and then places it over the other exploded marshmallow in the microwave and switches it back on.]

[She will not find that amusing, she will not find that amusing, oh damn it she does, truly.]

And the point of them is simply that they explode?

[badnewsboy]

You can also consume them in the hot beverage known as melted chocolate.

There are various uses for them.

[remember when they were kids and he was hilarious?]

[swordhappy]

[No, because Sif never found Loki hilarious.]

Midgardians may be primitive, but they are truly strangely ingenious. [Still watching with mild fascination as it swells and blows.] What else do they do?

[badnewsboy]

[he's totally hilarious.]

They create many things for their own amusement, why not make it for ours as well?

[he holds up finger and heads across the room, after rustling through a few drawers he produces a box of toothpicks. with a smug smile and apt focus he then starts building a marshmallow ...dog.]

[swordhappy]

[This is sort of simply more perplexing as to the whole point than it is entertaining, but she's paying attention anyway.]

Is that all that it's for? [Prodding it gently, as though it might do something.]

[badnewsboy]

[eating one of the legs.]

Many uses, remember? Now, if I had some melted chocolate I could show you...

[swordhappy]

I cannot believe you unprepared.

[Because this is Loki. Surely he is always on top of every situation.]

[badnewsboy]

Er ... well, I don't carry it around with me. I highly doubt my Other-Self did, either. I don't think he had much of a taste for Midgardian delicacies.

[this the greatest look he gives her, ever.]

And I was carrying around twenty bags of the mallows of the marsh.

[goes into his pocket and empties a few more on the table.]
