The call for officers is still on-going. If you think you have what it takes to become a police officer in this town, and you're of age, stop by the station and fill out an application. Three officers from the general community have been hired, but we're no where near fully staffed yet. If you're underaged, we can discuss an internship, so keep it in mind.

Oh, one of those sordid past things, okay. Just saying, though, this place kind of makes that stuff not matter as much. I mean, you're here as long as you're here, I guess.

Out of curiosity, though, how long have you been here again?

A couple of months. Four or five, I think, by now.

Yeah, I thought I remembered you coming in. It's just, I dunno. I've been here almost a year and it's starting to dawn on me that I might be here forever, and, surprisingly, I'm basically okay with that. So like I figure, why not just settle? I got people here I wouldn't have back home and that's pretty cool.

It doesn't seem as if there is a lot for him here, but biding time. Better than Azkaban, but keeping him from his only chance to seek justice.]

Where I'm from, there's this time shit we refer to as the alpha timeline. That's the stuff that actually happens. But there's any number of alternate timelines where things go down differently. And then there's this place. Who says you have to be the alpha you? And even if you are, why's that got to fuck things up for you while you're here?

We have a rule about time travel where I come from. Don't mess with it.

Not that I wouldn't love to.

And it doesn't really have to. Things got fucked up just by this place being what it is.
