[Open Log~]
What: Choose your own adventure ;D Whatever happens, happens.
Who: Teenage Bro Strider and anyone who has the nerve to come near him.
When: June 11
Where: School/Juanes
---
A. [school; morning]
[Morning classes? What morning classes? Before the bell rings, he's in the hallways, but after, he's nowhere to be found. At least, not for a good ten minutes, when the teachers and (most of) the students are safely tucked away in the classrooms. It's then that he appears again, making his way to an empty music room to chill and kick back until next period.
Hey, they tell him he has to come to school. Well, he's in school, and let's face it, classes run a lot more smoothly when he isn't in them. He can be found with his feet up on a table, meticulously tuning an electric guitar.]
B. [school; lunch break & afternoon]
[After he ducks into the cafeteria for a few minutes, he heads out to the bleachers for a cigarette or five. When it starts to rain, he retreats underneath them, remaining there for the rest of the school day.]
C. [juanes; after school]
[He's sat at one of the tables in the food court with a Cola that smells suspiciously like it's been laced with something to give it a little more.. kick. There's a sketchbook open on the table, and he has two coloured pencils tucked behind one ear and one held between his teeth as he draws with another.
In keeping with the style of unsettling graffiti that has been cropping up over the city, he's doodling one of his ironic comics. Don't worry. You're probably not ironic enough to get it.]

You're lookin' even more like a scared rabbit than usual.

Me? I-I'm all right... m-mostly... I just had to... to check in w-with the nurse...
[Sure, Sheska. Check in. She scrunched her nose in a self-recriminatory bitter-lemon sort of expression.]
no subject
[Oh, he sees what's going on here. He puts the guitar aside and stands up.]
Someone been thinkin' it's okay to hit a lady?
no subject
[She waves her hands, flustered.]
I didn't see- They didn't hit- It was sort of a trip, really, I just...
no subject
[He saunters over, resting his forearm against the door frame and watching her intently.]
You're gonna be honest with me now, y'hear? Fess up.
no subject
Um! I-I t-tripped and fell and, um, I-I lost m-my books for a bit...
[She hesitates, trying to decide just how much she should tell him. It was all so embarrassing, and she really wasn't too hurt, ankle not withstanding...]
no subject
That must have been some epic spill for you to lose your books.
no subject
W-well, yes, s-sort of, I, er, I-I sort of went h-h-headlong....
[She offers up her scraped palm for evidence.]
A-and they p-picked them up, b-but...
[Whoops. That was a bit more than she'd meant. Why was she so easy to tease?]
no subject
But..? C'mon, Shez. I ain't gonna bite you.
no subject
Th-they wouldn't g-give them back r-right away. Someone b-bumped me and I f-fell again when the bell r-rang. My ankle... Someone s-stepped on it. But they were h-hurrying to class! I-I'm not even sure they s-saw me...
So I s-stopped to see the nurse. I-I'm all right! R-really!
no subject
[Really... He looks at her for another few long moments, then makes a small gesture off up the hall.]
A'right. Go on, off to class or wherever the fuck you're goin'.
[Turning from her, he makes a dismissive gesture over his shoulder, heading back towards the guitar.]
no subject
Ah... O-okay... um...
[...It would be really silly to ask if he was all right, wouldn't it. Yes. Yes it would. So she bit her tongue on the phrase and backed out a little bit, reaching for the door to pull it to.]
Um... I-I hope you d-don't get in trouble... Sh-should I t-tell Dave where you are? I-if I s-see him?
no subject
If you see him, sure. I ain't got the full amount of entertainment out of him tryin' to persuade me to sit exams, yet.
no subject
Y... You're not going to... to c-come to exams? B-but... Why?
no subject
[He glances at her over the tops of his shades.]
I ain't been to class, why break the streak.
no subject
[Then you won't be able to get out of this place. It clung, thick and sticky, to the roof of her mouth, forcing everything else to wait while she tried to swallow it. This was madness! It was one thing to skip if you were smart enough to know all the answers already (maybe) but to delay getting out of school? And maybe off of this island?]
Why would you want to s-stay... [Oh, she was saying this out loud, wasn't she? She pressed her fingers to her lips, trying to catch the last few words as they slipped away.] ...s-so badly...?
no subject
[The thing about him was that he was, in fact, certainly intelligent enough to pass his exams even with the number of classes he'd missed.
It's not that he wants to stay, he just really doesn't care whether or not he leaves.]
