[The video turns on to show a very young, girl with brown hair parted down the center and white bangs. There's dark eye shadow and lipstick on her wearing a black tank top with a faded sweater over it with the sleeves off her shoulders and going down to her wrists. Her shoulders are exposed whereas her hands are gloved.
There's no mistaking the serious expression on her face. She's not pleased in the least.]
This is gettin' old very fast. Someone better start talkin'.

[action]
He's used people, she's not surprised that. He has that charm about him to make any woman do what he says. But his last words...they reach her, persuading her to lower her guard. Her head is bowed for a moment before looking back up and brushing her bangs out of her face.]
Either I'm crazy or stupid, but I believe ya.
Re: [action]
I think the way it works is, you're the crazy one, I'm the stupid one.
[Almost entirely joking, but there's a thread of honesty to it.]
[action]
Thanks for comfirmin' that. Craziness runs in the family. [There's a twinge of sarcasm in her voice. Her mother is Mystique and Kurt's her brother in a way...so yes, craziness is in her family, including her X-Men family.]
Are you an' me...a team or somethin'? [Or...were they romantically involved?]
[action]
I know your family pretty well. Mystique, she never like me, but we work together a time or two. She don't approve of me, but I still have skills she can use.
The two of us, though...
[He looks away a moment.]
Hard to know what to say. Things that meant a lot to me sound pretty strange to you, I think. Your Remy and me, we must be different people, if he never...
If you don't know how I feel about you. The older you, I mean.
[action]
The whole part with Mystique makes her go stiff and look awake. One hand starts to curl into a fist, trying to hold back her anger at the woman.]
When is she not using anyone..[The words are more muttered to herself than him, still listening, but its hard to ignore.]
You two are different as in, you weren't on Magneto's team for one. Personality's pretty much the same.
As it is, everythin' is strange ta me. Can't confuse me anymore than ya can right now. I wanna trust you, but we have ta be upfront with one another.
[action]
Been a thief, and I been a traitor, and I've had to work with people who make me ashamed. More than once, all three. But I always been loyal to you.
[To some extent, that's a matter of interpretation, but he believes it, entirely. Even when he's sold out the X-Men, he did it to help or protect her. Even when he lied to her, he did it out of love. That's as honest as he can be right now, and he doesn't even consider it less than honest, in context. He's never cheated on her, never sold her out, never given up hope no matter how bitter things got, no matter whether they were together or not.]
So tell me, cherie. I be up front with you. What is there you should tell me?
[action]
You two are nearly the same. He's a thief, seemingly loyal to Magneto enough to be part of his Acolytes, but suppose not. We fought one another, came out as a draw and didn't see each other for a while. Not until his dad got kidnapped and needed me to get 'im out.
[A pause as she forces herself to talk about her mother.] I hate Mystique. For lyin' to me, for tryin' ta use me and everything. I never want to have a relationship with that woman. [Even in all that anger there's traces of hurt in her voice.]
That's about it.
[action]
[There's an urgency of tightness and urgency in his voice.]
Re: [action]
He only said his father, that was it. He got out safely, all of us did.
[action]
... if it was the third, cherie, your Remy got worse problems than Magneto. Problems he know better than to drag anybody into.
..I think dw ate my post.
He was the head of the Thieves' Guild. He was taken by the Rippers an' Gambit an' me got him out.
Re: ..I think dw ate my post.
That ain't so bad, then. Jean-Luc LeBeau might not win any awards for good upbringing, but he still worth a little risk to save.
[Almost nostalgic]

After that, didn't see him. Had the X-Men pick me up and headed back to Bayvill. [Shrugs]

I got smarter with age. So the Remy you know, maybe he wind up not so bad in a few years.
[Shrug.]
Maybe not.
no subject
She's gotten enough information from him, now it's time to find a way out. Maybe touch one of the doctors to get their memories. Though if those memories or personality is too strong, it could overwhelm her.
It's a risk she'll take.]
Anythin' else I should know? About you or this...place?

Think I won't be able to get out of here?
no subject
I wouldn't bet against you. But I wouldn't bet at all, cherie. Nobody give me odds on a bet like that. People been here three years. They say Magneto was here, tried to get out until he get in trouble and the government make him disappear. 'Release,' they call it. Maybe that means they send you home, but maybe not. Until Remy know, best to sit and play solitaire and watch it all play out.
no subject
Tch, just watch it. Kitty and me will be able to go home and leave all this behind in a matter of hours.[Okay more like days, BUT THEY WILL GET HOME. YOU WATCH HER DO IT :|]
no subject
I'll be cheering for you. You think of a way this boy can help, you just call. I spread my coat over any puddle you can name. Just in case that Gambit of yours swan back into your life someday a little brighter.
no subject
...you really think I'd call you over a puddle. [Sarcasm, she loves it so.]
Doubtful Gambit will come back, but stranger things have happened. [Like now for instance.]

But bailing me out? What makes you think I'd even get caught int he first place? [Sarcasm and tiny ounce of playfulness there.]
no subject
I don't think you get caught, cherie. But better to plan for more than just what I think happen. They tell you you have one phonecall, you keep me in mind, that's all.
no subject
If you're the only one on this island, maybe I'll give you a call.
