Uhh... hello?

[Terra's voice is a little quiet. After a pause just long enough to be awkward, he clears his throat.]

I'm... not sure what I should be saying here. They told me I would meet other... [Another pause, where he struggles with the word "fictionals".] ... people like me. I guess I should introduce myself? I don't think I'm doing a very good job here.

[Another nervous throat-clearing.]

My name is Terra, and I--.. [He hesitates. He's not supposed to talk too much about what he is or where he's from. Those are the rules, back home, and even if those rules don't apply now, he can't bring himself to break them.]

... I have no idea what I'm doing.

[The voice feed ends a little abruptly.]

[ So, uh- Wally was actually in the other room for this and didn't realize that he was going to be having a new roommate, so he ends up poking his head through the door, blinking at the stranger. ]

Roommate?

[Terra notices the movement, and he looks in Wally's direction. He waits until he's spoken to to stand and give a bow. After all, this was his place first.]

I think so. Sorry to barge in; I was told I'd be living here. I'm Terra.

Hey, it's your place as much as mine, I guess. [ He comes more into full view, instead of just having his head creeping from behind the wall. He does have to pause, though at the bowing. Huh. Is he supposed to return one...? ]

Heard ya before - not used to making introductions?

Oh, and I'm Wally, Wally West. [ He sort-of offers a small bow back. Why not? ]

[That gets a small smile out of Terra. He feels awkward, lost, but... at least Wally seems friendly.]

Nice to meet you. And--no, not really. I guess I haven't done many, at least not formally.

[ Wally takes the chance, then to lean against the door frame, arms crossed. ]

Well, it's no biggie - you sorta remind me of a friend from back, home, actually... [ He's thinking of Superboy, but maybe it's the build. ]

Uh, anyway, you're kind of in luck. You just missed a bunch of us getting turned into cats.

[Well, that's one way to surprise Terra out of his funk.]

Cats..? Who did that to you? Is there someone that powerful here?

Dunno what caused it, but people've told me this sort of thing just happens randomly on occasion. [ He shrugs and gives a small frown. ]

Thankfully, all I got out of it were ears and a tail. [ Along with some of the instincts, but he won't go into the embarrassing details of being fooled by laser pointers. ]

It just... happens? [Wally obviously doesn't know any more, seeing as he just said so, so Terra doesn't press that.]

How long do those "effects" tend to last?

A few days. Nothing long term that I've heard about. [ After a momentary stare at Terra, he breaks out into a grin, throwing his hands into the air. ]

Don't worry about it, man. See? I'm all back to normal. [ And he points to the top of his head to make it clear. ]
