My dowry doesn't at least have a sickly sheep or something. This is kind of really insulting. Not that I should take it seriously but---I mean. It's like "Here's your heir to the tribe, sir! All you had to do was hand over some frilly underpants and a box of cake powder stuff! -What mead? We're not celebrating with mead. You get this bottle of bubble junk."

There aren't even swords in this basket. Worst wedding ever.

Yeah. Divorce. Not exactly the best thing but it saves you from this sort of situation.

For the guy because that means he couldn't live up to the lady's needs and disrespected her by doing so. Uh, I don't know if anyone would care here. It's kind of a way different marriage situation so it wouldn't exactly be disrespecting anyone.

If they're so complicated, why are government marriages around to begin with?

Um. To know who shares ownership of what, who not to separate, who gets to speak for you if you're incapacitated... stuff like that?

[She purses her lips and glances away from the camera, embarrassed. She knew she had a lot to learn about the world, but it's still difficult to face the reality that she knows virtually nothing... especially when another person is there to witness it.]

No. They're just different.

And I wouldn't call anything a monster.

Why not? Isn't it just a term for bloodthirsty, unnatural beasts?

Well, I mean... You kind of have to see it being bloodthirsty before you call it out on that.

That's kind of why I'm asking who else is out there.

I mean, I'd like to think there has been plenty of time for any real "monsters" to have made themselves known.

There's people and people with blue hair and people with horns... I don't really know.

[Actually, that's nothing short of amazing, far more than it is "scary" or "concern-worthy".]

I hope I'll get to meet them! I mean, if they're just people, there's no danger, right?

I'm kind of curious what she'd say too. Your mother sounds like a very uh- ...cautious person.

That's a good way to put it. She's kind of strict too... b-but in a good way! It's because she cares, you know?

Yeah. A little stricter than parents I know but they're also parents who hand their children swords and tell them they need to learn how to skin giant lizards later in life so I'm just going to assume you're on the more normal end of things.

[tower_bound]

Considering we don't have swords and we only have normal-sized lizards -well, a chameleon in my case- I would like to think we lived normally. Sort of.

[And back to that whole "not sure if should talk about living in a tower for 18 years and never leaving" thing.]

Are giant lizards normal where you're from?

Yep. All over. The big dragon kind.

[She recalls him mentioning something about monsters not truly being horrible.]

...Are the dragons, um, well... nice?

Is Pascal around here or back home?

Yeah. They're super nice as long as you approach them right. If you spook them they get a snappy and they have different personalities so there's always one that might actually want to eat you but overall they're big softies.
