You know, thneeds really are the most useful things! They can be as dense or loosely woven as you like, and if you're careful about it, apparently proof against dog bites. That was, um, less... exciting, really, but with so many officers being bitten, they couldn't exactly get me an escort to work. I'm all right! It just frightened me a bit. Something scared it off. I'm just glad it wasn't a werewolf.
How is everyone doing? Once-ler? Sirius? Anyone? Does anyone need a place to be contained for the evening? The police station has a few cells left... Night's coming on fast now.

[Koizumi's immediate instinct was to act on that knowledge, that they both knew she was his - to take her right then and there, and laugh at the consequences. But... something stopped him. The sight of her made him burn with a primal desire, and even though he knew that right now she would long for nothing more... something inside him held back. A quiet voice, still sleeping, but so deeply a part of him that it spoke anyway, even if he didn't recognize what he was hearing. All he knew was that suddenly it was more desirable to draw things out, keep a little distance. He couldn't have said why, there was no logical connection - yet he knew that if he acted on impulse it would end poorly, for both of them.
Koizumi was nothing if not self-controlled.
He took a deep, steadying breath, startled that it was necessary, that he felt such disquiet. A moment later, however, it vanished - though whether gone or buried it was impossible to tell. He tilted his own head casually to the side and let the remaining blood bubble up in his mouth, coating his lips once more - simultaneously a question and an offer.] Are you still hungry, my dear?
Or, if you'd prefer, I can teach you to go out and hunt.

This close, she could see that he was hungry himself. There was something about his eyes, the taste of the blood on her tongue. He needed to feed as much as she did. And though she would rather stay here, there was nothing she cared about more, right now, than him. His welfare came so far above her own that she didn't have to think twice. She sank back onto her heels with a slight smile.]
I shouldn't rely on your generosity every time I get hungry. Will you really teach me?

[He glances back at her, smiling slightly more gentle, a knowing look in his eyes - as if anticipating some feeling or reaction of hers.] Those were good traits in a human, Sheska. That brings you no shame.
[Then his turns back toward the city, and his eyes narrow.] To the hunt!
[With several swift steps he comes to the ledge of the roof and unconcernedly leaps off, almost instantly blending and vanishing with the night.]
[Action]
She would follow him to the gates of dawn, should he ask it of her.]
[Action]
He slows gradually to a stop when he sees a young woman - though still a ways away - coming toward him on the street ahead. He drops back beside Sheska, speaking quietly.] There, my dear, do you see it? That is your prey.
[Action]
Her? Ah... of course. How...?
[Not that she expected to be able to seduce her way into a meal - not with her looks - but she's rather at a loss.]
