It's a parasite. Peter - the other Peter - his dad created it accidentally, I guess. Or he created something that somebody else turned into a monster. It takes people over.

And it killed Gwen. Before I met her. She knows more about it than I do. But I fought it. It messed up my dad's leg and swallowed me and my mom tried to save me from it but a cop shot her and I couldn't protect her and
